Someone just sent you a Giftinz gift card. Maybe it was for your birthday. Maybe it was for Eid, or Christmas, or just because. Either way, you now have a digital gift waiting to be claimed — and it takes less than two minutes to redeem it.
This guide walks you through the exact steps, whether you are redeeming on the Giftinz mobile app or on the website.
What you will need
- The gift card code or the link that was sent to you (check your WhatsApp, SMS, or email)
- A Giftinz account — free to create, takes about 60 seconds
- A bank account or wallet to receive the funds
Step 1 — Open the gift card link or go to giftinz.com/redeem
If you received a direct link (usually sent via WhatsApp or SMS), tap it. It will open the Giftinz redemption page directly. If you received a code instead of a link, go to giftinz.com/redeem and enter the code in the box provided.
Step 2 — Log in or create your account
If you already have a Giftinz account, log in with your phone number and password. If you do not have an account yet, tap "Create Account" — you will need your phone number, a password, and a quick BVN verification to receive funds. This is a one-time process.
Step 3 — Claim the gift
Once you are logged in, the gift card will be linked to your account. You will see the amount, who sent it, and any message they included. Tap "Claim Gift" to add it to your Giftinz wallet balance.
Step 4 — Withdraw to your bank account
From your Giftinz wallet, tap "Withdraw" and enter your bank account details (or select a saved account). The funds will be sent to your bank account. Processing times are typically instant or within a few minutes during business hours.
Can I spend the gift card directly without withdrawing?
Yes — your Giftinz wallet balance can be used to spray at events, send gifts to others, or donate to charity campaigns directly within the app. You do not have to withdraw if you would rather use the funds within Giftinz.
Gift card not working?
- Check that you are using the full code exactly as it was sent — no extra spaces
- Gift cards are single-use — if it has already been claimed, it will show as redeemed
- If the link shows an error, try copying the code and entering it manually at giftinz.com/redeem
